This Aulsebrook’s biscuit tin is from ca 1890. It’s in pretty ordinary condition, but someone who knows what they’re doing would be able to bring it back to life – at least a bit!
This was in my father-in-law’s collection of things when he passed. I suspect it was in his family for a long, long time – the Moshers in Australia date back to around 1865-70 – so I suspect it belonged to his mother or father.
The hinges are still complete and it does open and shut – even if it needs a little encouragement to align properly on closing. 😉
This is rarity is an ugly duckling waiting for the right person to transform her back into a beautiful – if tired – swan.
