I was never a fan of the short story until I started publishing narratorMAGAZINE which eventually became narratorINTERNATIONAL. The creative talent of some of our contributing authors just blew me away. And of course I wanted to join in. But you can’t really publish yourself in your own publication, can you? In the end, I did, just once, with The Dress. But I can at least use this blog to publish other short stories that come to mind as the years pass.
George – an historical short. Slightly naive, but hopefully a bit interesting.
The Dress – a short story written for some friends as an allegory after the surprise break up of their relationship.
A Shaw Thing – my entry for the 2016 Elizabeth Jolley Short Story Prize and just on 5,000 words long, so grab some caffeine before you start!
