Saturday, 21 May 2016 from 10am – 1pm
Self-publishing can be a daunting task; what format should you choose, eBook or print? How can you avoid costly missteps? How will you handle distribution and where will you sell, in bookshops or online? And, what are the tricks and tips to marketing your precious finished work? In two panel discussions we attempt to demystify the many questions around self-publishing. Industry experts and self-published writers will reveal how to successfully publish and promote your own writing – from editing and submission to choosing the most appropriate format – and then how to publicise and market to maximise sales.
Panellists: Carla Billinghurst, Kit Carstairs, Gabriel Farago, Steven Herrick, Amanda Hickie, Jody Lee, Sarah Mills, Jenny Mosher.
Tickets: $15.00—refreshments from the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre café included. Book and pay at any Library branch or book online at http://library.bmcc.nsw.gov.au
