‘Megalong Valley’ is a watercolour, pastel and ink artwork of the view from the picnic area at Dry Ridge Estate winery in the Megalong Valley, NSW.

Captured in 2011, this view has since changed as the owners have taken out an old gum tree  which previously grew against the drystone wall, and added infrastructure to the area to enable them to offer outdoor wine tastings, which are a lovely way to while away an hour or two – especially if you’re there when the Six Foot Track race is on!

Like most of my watercolour and ink artworks, this one was completed watercolour first, oil pastel then ink – to stop me trying to ‘paint between the lines’!

This original artwork has a generous border for matting when framing.
