Description
‘What Lies Beneath’ is a truly abstract work created in watercolour and ink on Arches paper.
Like Fantasy Flowers and Megan’s Marvellous Hair, this was an exercise in loosening up. I don’t recall the exact colours I used for this, but it seems the palette was limited to four: a blue, a red, a purple and a dark grey.
Like most of my watercolour and ink works, the watercolours were laid down quickly and with no particular plan. Some days after they dried I grabbed a felt-tipped pen and started drawing what felt right (all puns intended, lol) and this is the result!
This artwork measures 15.7 x 24 cms and there is a generous border for matting when framing. Although the framing suggestion and images shown here all have the artwork facing a certain way, it can be rotated 90 degrees either way, or the full 180 degrees, depending on how you like to look at it – the choice is all yours! 😀
This work ships unframed across the world.
Price includes shipping within Australia. If you’re overseas, a $5 surcharge will apply once you enter your shipping address to help cover the additional shipping costs.
