‘Fantail’, like Canyonlands, was an unplanned work. It was made with left-over acrylic paints from other projects I’d been working on at the time. The other projects were being completed using acrylic paint applied with credit and sim cards, so I just used the same cards to apply the leftovers to a piece of watercolour paper. It’s a minor version of Technicolour Yawn.
Again, there was no plan, no picture in my mind, just a credit card in my hand and a sheet of paper on the table.
Ultimately it became ‘Fantail’ as it reminds me of a peacock giving a display. You may see something else here! In fact, you could even hang it upside down or sideways – the choice is all yours. 🙂
“Fantail’ was created using a sheet of watercolour paper and has a narrow border for matting.
