Opals – Dark

Description

Like its companion pieces, Opals – Light and Love Me Do, ‘Opals – Dark’ is a work using negative space.

I started by spreading thinned acrylics across an A3 sheet of watercolour paper. Once that was dry, I drew adjoining circles and ellipses with thinned, blue, acrylic paint, then coloured in the gaps between the circles with the paint.

‘Opals – Dark’ was created on watercolour paper and measures 42 cm wide and 29.7 cm high. There is a white border of roughly 1 cm around the work to allow for matting and framing.

This artwork ships unframed across the world.
